That's Nice
Brand Elixir Agency Campaign
Concept, Art Direction, Design
1893 Chicago World Exposition
The concept for this agency campaign was based on the scientific discovery of the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago. As a Science Agency, That’s Nice wanted to have a playful and memorable campaign that appealed to the scientific community in the Pharmaceutical world. We created the “Brand Elixir” to solve all branding problems – a playful homage to the medicine men of the late 1800s.
The Medicine Men
We developed characters, costumes and tin-type portraits of staff to be used across marketing materials. Staff attending the BIO Annual Conference arrived in costume and worked in an exhibit set up to look like a vintage apothecary shop. Staff visitors were given props and had their photo taken. They were later mailed a vintage looking postcard of them in period costume. A selection of giveaways - powerbanks, pens, etc. - were handed out in packaging that was in the style of the 1890s in both the writing and design.
Photo Booth
Booth visitors had their photo taken and were sent a postcard later with them mocked up in vintage fashion.
Innovations
Throughout materials there were facts regarding the innovations unveiled at the 1893 fair. This appealed to our audience of scientists.
